FAQ for TRAINING & COACHING
Q1. What type of Training programme WBMDFC provide?
Ans: Generally, WBMDFC provides (a) Skill Development Training and (b) various Coaching Programmes for Pre Recruitment examinations.
Q2. How WBMDFC provide Skill Development Training?
Ans: WBMDFC at present is providing Skill Development Training through various reputed institutes like NIFT, IIFT, MSME Development Institute, MSME Central Tool Room & Training centre etc.
Q3. How the students come to know about the Skill Development Training and Coaching Programme? Is there any specific time for advertisement?
Ans: For Skill Development Training and Coaching Programme, WBMDFC publishes advertisement in the leading newspapers and also in its website (www.wbmdfc.org). Notifications for such courses are also displayed at the Minority Bhawan of the Districts.
Q4. How the students submit their application for training/coaching and what is the selection procedure?
Ans: For any Training/Coaching programme, the interested candidates are required to fill up their forms through online portal of WBMDFC (www.wbmdfc.org) only. The selection of the candidate is done through written test/personal interview and after verification of documents (for the candidates who are finally selected for training/coaching).
Q5. How the candidates are communicated after their selection?
Ans: The selected candidates are communicated through SMS, email, WBMDFC website notification and phone call through Call centre.
Q6. Whether any residential facilities is available for the selected candidates and if so what is the criteria?
Ans : No such formal residential facilities are available. However, the outstation deserving candidates may be sanctioned some financial assistance towards food and lodging for staying in PG accommodation duly arranged by them in consultation with WBMDFC. However, if the programme is residential, then the selected deserving candidates will have to stay in the accommodation as may be arranged by WBMDFC.60% attendance in PG accommodation/Hostel is mandatory.
Q6. Whether any residential facilities is available for the selected candidates and if so what is the criteria?
Ans : No such formal residential facilities are available. Q7. What are the eligibility criteria for Skill Development Training and Coaching?
Ans: The candidate must be a domicile of the State of West Bengal.
Age & Qualification – It various from course to course; as per the requirement of each Skill Development Training and coaching.
Q8. What is the fees structure for the candidates for doing this training and coaching?
Ans: The candidates are not required to pay any fees for the training/coaching. The selected candidates are required to deposit only refundable caution fees to the tune of Rs.2000/- to Rs.5000/- as the case may be and submit an indemnity bond.
Q9. Can any candidate avail the training facility more than once?
Ans: Normally one candidate cannot avail the training facility more than one course.
Q10. What is the percentage of attendance required for the Skill Training and Coaching?
Ans: Minimum 80% attendance is required.
Q11. Whether any certificate is awarded after completion of Skill Development Training/Coaching?
Ans : No certificate is awarded after successful completion of coaching, however, certificate is awarded to the successful candidates of Skill Development Coaching.
Q12. How the coaching is imparted to the candidates for various programmes and who are the coaching providers?
Ans: Coaching is imparted through the reputed institutes selected through E-Tender. At present coaching is provided by RICE, George School of Competitive Exam., Al-Ameen Mission Trust, Academic Association, Assensive Educare, Galsi Modern , Adwings etc.
Q13. When and how the E-Tender is floated?
Ans: For any specific coaching, e-Tender/e-EOI is floated in West Bengal Government Tender site www.wbtenders.gov.in followed by press advertisement in leading newspaper and WBMDFC website. There is no specific time schedule for floating the e-Tender.
Q14. Whether WBMDFC provide Training/Coaching to the candidates other than minorities?
Ans: WBMDFC provide Training/Coaching only to the minority candidates i.e. Buddhist, Christian, Jain, Muslim, Parsee and Sikh belong to the State of West Bengal.
