| Question 1: Is there any specific state scholarship scheme for minoritiesbr> Answer: Yes.This year state Govt. has launched a new state minority scholarship scheme named “Aikhyashree”.In addition, there are two existing schemes named TSP and SVMCM. Question 2 :Who are eligible to apply for Scholarship Schemes? Answer: Students belonging to minority communities i.e. Buddhist,Christian,Jain, Muslim,Parsee&Sikh are eligible to apply for various Scholarship schemes. For more details please visit website www.wbmdfcscholarship.in Question 3: What is the last date for submitting applications online? Answer:Please visit our website to get the exact time line. Question 4: How can a student apply online for scholarship?Answer:Go to www.wbmdfcscholarship.in and click on New Registration option and continue the process… Question 5:How and whereto submit the online application?Answer:Take a print out of application form, append your signature, get the signature of your parent/ guardian on self certified income certificate and then submit it to your educational institutions along with the Bank Account details. Question 6: Can I edit the information already saved and up-to what time?Answer: Yes, before locking your application Question 7: What happens, if I detect mistakes after final locking of the applications ?Answer:Request the INSTITUTE/DISTRICT Minority office/STATE (where your application is presently lying) to defect your application. However, this can be done only before the final payment process is completed. Question 8:What kind of search facility is provided to students for Institute, District during registration process? Answer:List of registered institute and Tracking of application are at Home Page. Question 9: Do I have to fill up the online application in one sitting? Answer:Not necessary.It can be completed part by part also. Question 10: Is there any permanent ID? How will it be communicated to me? Answer: Yes, it can be seen in the system after completion of the registration process. Question 11: What should I do, if I do not find my institute name in the drop-down menu? Answer:- Contact district Minority officiewith supported documents. Question 12:What documents are to be uploaded on AIKYASHREE while applying for the scholarships? Answer:In case of SVMCM, income certificate, marksheet of last exam passed,institute verification form. No such uploading is required for other schemes like Pre-matric,Post-matric,TSP,and MCM (Note: except MCM for Listed institutes). Question 13: How to check the status of my application? Answer:Go to website www.wbmdfcscholarship.in . Application tracking option is in HOME page Question14: How to overcome the problem of Login even after getting system generated Application ID and Password (created by the applicant during application filling)? Answer: -Contact theDistrict Minority office where your institute is located.or mail it us at mdfc.wb@gmail.com, you can also recover your id and password through Forgot user id and password that is available at the website. Question 15: For Renewal cases, the Login data i.e Application ID and DOB of previous year is showing an error “Invalid User Name/ Password”. What is the remedy? Answer:This year there is no provision for filing renewal applicationexcept in SVMCM scholarship. Please contact your District Minority office or whatsApp with proper screenshot to WBMDFC. Question 16: There is no link available on AIKYASHREE portal to take care of registration of new educational Institute? Answer:For registration of new institutes in AIKYASHREE portal, kindly contact District Minority office where your institute is located. Question 17: what is the prescribed format available in AIKYASHREE for uploading various types of documents? Answer:It is available in the portal itself Question 18: In case applicant is unable to select Block/Taluk, how to overcome this issue? Answer: - Students may whatsApp with a proper screenshot of the problem or mail it to us to mdfc.wb@gmail.com. Question 19: Telephone helpline Number given 1800 120 2130on portal is not functioning properly and lot of calls is being put on hold? Answer:Student can also WhatsAppin 8017071714 or mail us at wbmdfc.wb@gmail.com Question 20: Would the Login credentials be sent by SMS? Answer:yes. And also in mail of the students Question 21:What are the fields which are not editable at all? Answer: - Bank Account details/Mobile No. /Institute Name etc. Question 22: What is the remedy in case some scholarship scheme is not coming in drop down list? Answer: - Please contact WBMDFC. Question 23: How to track the status of my application? Answer:Please visit our website www.wbmdfcscholarship.in and click on tracking an Application. Question 24: How to know about the various services available on the portal? Answer:Please visit our website www.wbmdfcscholarship.in. Question 25: Is the scheme open for all candidates enrolled in Colleges/ Institutes? Answer: No, Institute of the student should be in West Bengal only Question 27: Is there any need for uploading of domicile certificate along with the online application form?Answer: No Question 28: Are students enrolled in Diploma courses or those who have cleared Class XII exam or equivalent in the preceding years eligible to apply for scholarship? Answer: Yes, system will automatically tell for which scholarship scheme you are eligible. Question 29: Are students enrolled in private/deemed universities (not funded by either Central or State Government) eligible to apply? Answer: Yes, system will automatically tell for which scholarship scheme you are eligible. Question 30: Are students enrolled in integrated courses of eligible institutions eligible to apply? Answer: Yes. Question 31: Are students enrolled in dual degree courses eligible to apply? Answer: Yes. Question 32: Are all courses covered under the ambit of the scheme? Answer: From class 1 to PH.D and also for all technical and professional courses Question 33: What is the Rate of scholarship payable to the awardees? Answer. Please click on the link http://wbmdfcscholarship.in/main/guidelines Question 34: Who will verify the credentials of the candidates? How will payments be regulated? Answer: Flow of Application: StudentàInstituteàDistrictàState(WBMDFC)àPayment through IFMS Question 35: Will the scholarship transferred in case the awardee changes the institution or course during the tenure of scholarship? Answer: No. Question 36: Will the scholarship be renewed if the awardee fails in the first or subsequent years of study? Answer. No. Question 37: Are the students who have enrolled in some course in distance mode or have obtained admission through management quota be considered eligible for award of scholarship? Answer: Distant Course is not eligible for the scholarship Question 38: Can the awardee claim any other scholarship (State/ Institute or other Ministry) during the tenure of award of this scholarship? Answer: One scholarship from all Government body Question 39: Can the students apply anytime during the year of admission? Answer. No. |
